Meant To Be Flamboyant
Leica M ‘Red Anodized Finish’

Leica has brought us a surprise just in time for Christmas. First launched at the end of 2015, Leica M (Typ 262) is now available in ‘red anodized finish’ special limited edition. The top and base plates of the limited edition are machined from solid aluminium and anodised in red, while the leathered body is kept in black. Pair it with the red anodised Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 ASPH launched last year, and it’s difficult to keep this set up low key.

The technical specifications of the special edition camera are identical when compared with those on the standard Leica M (Typ 262), featuring a full-frame CMOS sensor, 24-megapixel resolution and a choice of manual or automatic aperture priority exposure, while the Maestro processor guarantees fast processing of captured images and readiness to shoot. The ‘red anodized finish’ edition is limited to 100 examples and more information can be found here.
