Man vs speed
Triumph Infor Rocket Streamliner

Isle of Man TT racer and multiple speed record holder Guy Martin is teaming up with Triumph Motorcycles for a new motorcycle world land speed record attempt. The English racer was meant to take up the challenge last year but it was postponed because of his crash during Ulster Grand Prix 2015. The current record was set by Rocky Ronison with 376.363 mph, achieved in 2010.

Guy Martin’s partner in crime would be the Triumph Infor Rocket Streamliner. The 25.5 feet long, 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall motorcycle features a carbon-kevlar monocoque construction with two turbocharged Triumph Rocket III engines, producing a combined 1,000 bhp.

“I can’t wait to take the Triumph Infor Rocket Streamliner onto the salt at Bonneville for the first time this summer,” Guy Martin said of his upcoming attempt. “The Triumph engineers have built an amazing machine, giving us the very best chance to beat the two-wheeled land speed record.” The attempt will take place on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah later this month.
