This awesome Aston Martin Vantage GT8 is by all measures a road-legal version of Aston’s FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) GTE racer. David King, director of Special Projects and Motorsport, indicated, “By focusing on weight savings and aerodynamics, we have taken the V8 Vantage to an entirely different level of agility and aggression”; a different level indeed!  Fitted with carbon fibre front splitters, front and rear bumpers, fenders, side sills and rear diffuser the Aston Martin have saved up to 100kg of speed-sapping mass. The GT8 is powered by a revised version of Aston Martin’s 440 hp, 4.7-litre V8, which accelerates the GT8 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 306 km/h.

Owners can choose between a six-speed manual or seven-speed Sportshift II paddle-shift gearboxes. Other optional features to further improve performance through weight saving include a carbon fibre roof and seven spoke centre-lock magnesium rims. Three optional “Halo” paint schemes are offered: China Grey with Blue accents, Stratus White with Green accents, and Stirling Green with Lime accents.

The retail price will start at £165,000 and delivery will be in Q4 2016.
