There are plenty of camper bus options on the market, but the Mayes family chose to pick a standard American yellow school bus and turned it into their new home. A few months after purchasing it, the parents of four kids completed the bus conversion, packed their bags from the 5,000 sq ft home and began a new life on the stylish bus which they dearly call the “skoolie”.

There is a lot going on inside the 250 sq ft bus; the interior is fresh and modern, using mainly white with grey and natural wood as accents. The couple manages to include a living space with a dining table for all, full kitchen, bathroom with bathtub, two bunk beds (meaning each kid has his or her own bed) and a small bedroom for themselves for some private time away from the children. While not spacious, the interior is surely sufficient and comfortable for the family. They may rent it out as AirBnB when they no longer wish to stay on the bus.
