Legendary Model Revived
Lancia Delta to relaunch in 2026

The legendary Lancia brand is one that many car enthusiasts have been missing since the Italian manufacturer chilled out in the 90s and stopped producing anything nearly as interesting, edgy, or iconic as the stunning Stratos or Delta models. Fear not, though, as CEO Luca Napolitano recently confirmed the rebirth of the Lancia Delta.

Speaking to Italian publication Corriere della Sera in a recent interview, Luca Napolitano confirmed that the resurrection of Lancia Delta will take place in 2026. “Everyone wants Delta and it can’t be missing from our plans. It will return and it will be a true Delta: an exciting car, a manifesto of progress and technology. And obviously it will be electric,” said Napolitano. The Lancia brand is now part of the Stellantis group, and according to the group’s latest plan, all Lancias will be electric by 2026. Corriere della Sera also speculates that the battery technology of the new car could offer up to 700 km per charge. Before we can see the new Delta EV, though, Lancia is going to update the current Ypsilon model in 2024, which will target the premium market.
