Tudor Black Bay Fifty-eight Bronze

Watchmaker Tudor has produced quite a few stunning bronze timepieces recently. While the material has mostly been used for the watch case in the past, this time around Tudor is launching the full-blown Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze, featuring an all-bronze bracelet.

The Black Bay Fifty-Eight is the slightly smaller edition of the signature Black Bay diver watch, presented with a 39 mm satin-brushed bronze case. The matt brown-bronze dial is dazzled with Arabic numerals at three, six, and nine o’clock, and of course the “snowflake” hour hand that’s become the signature detail of Tudor divers’ watches since 1969. Underneath the watch face is the in-house calibre MT5400 that offers a 70-hour power reserve and is waterproof to 200 metres, just like the other editions of the Black Bay Fifty-Eight.

The bronze bracelet is clearly the highlight of this watch. With the material of the links matching the case, the entire piece will develop a patina at an equal rate. The bracelet also features the brand new “T-fit” rapid adjustment system that allows adjustment on the bracelet’s length without any tools. The wearer can adjust the bracelet instantly with five positions, extending to up to 8 mm. Also included in the box is an extra “brown-bronze” fabric strap with yellow centre-line that pays tribute to one of the archive Tudors worn by the French Navy.

The Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze is available exclusively in selected Tudor boutiques.
