Kidults’ Bricks of Their Dreams
LEGO Caterham Super Seven

The recent announcement of one of the LEGO Ideas winners is fantastic news for automobile fans, as two charming LEGO Caterham Super Seven cars could be sitting on your desk in the coming months. Carl Greatrix, a 46 year-old Brit, is the mastermind behind this “kidults’” dream. Carl is famous throughout the LEGO community for his photo-realistic cars, trains and aircraft, and he has perfectly captured the unique design of this iconic classic British sports car with LEGO bricks.

Greatrix was very proactive in promoting his very own project via his Flickr page. Further, his work even got the backing from Caterham, and the manufacturer was keen to share the project through various social media sites. As a result, Carl’s design has won more than 10,000 votes since his project’s launch back in March 2015. We expect these fans will be overwhelmed by the announcement, but they’ll need to wait to purchase the little brick models. The final kit won’t arrive in stores until after a series of tests by LEGO’s designers and marketing team; the configurations and colour scheme are to be announced later this year or early 2017. Once released, the Caterham Super Sevens are sure to become collector’s items.
