Keep Things Interesting Again
Toyota GR Supra GT4 Concept

Ever since the debute of the new Toyota Supra, new variant or aftermarket version of vehicle is surfacing  every few months or so. It is so frequent that we’ve almost lost track of it – yet what’s to come at the Geneva Motor Show is reigniting our love for this compact car with a rich heritage.

The GR Supra GT4 Concept explores the potentials of how the fifth generation Supra could be used for privateer racers for endurance racing. It features a specially-designed front diffuser and rear wing for maximising airflow around the chassis, reducing drag and optimising downforce. Toyota has used natural fibres such as hemp and flax instead of carbon fibre for constructing these aerodynamic components, trying to reduce the impact on the environment. The production car’s 3.0-litre straight-six turbo engine retains, but it’s boosted by a motorsport-grade ECU and bespoke wiring looms.

Toyota Gazoo Racing will evaluate potential customers’ interest on the Supra GT4 Concept before committing further development on it. We can’t wait to see it on the grid.
