Just like the real world
Formula E ‘Race Off Pro Series’ on Xbox

The all-electric Formula E Championship is known for its engaging and tech-savvy approach to the vast on-line audience with free live streams for most of the races and the regularly uploaded 360-degree replay videos. Their latest gig is the launch of their first ever virtual championship – the Race Off Pro Series – on Forza Motorsport 6 video game. Even more exciting, these virtual races will be held alongside the real-world FIA Formula E events during the season.

Starting on 24th March, the first of four rounds of time trials plus the final championship were held as a preview to the race in Long Beach, followed later by Paris, Berlin, and London. Gamers only have to log onto the game to participate in the week-long time trial for each round, and the fastest 10 players across the globe will compete in a live-streamed final the morning of the each real Formula E event. The top two from each round will be invited for an all-expenses paid trip to London’s Battersea Park to compete for the inaugural Grand Finale championship round in July. With €15,000 prize fund and other prizes, it looks competition is getting real both offline and online.
