Intelligent Voice Housekeeper
Google Home

At the recent Google I/O developer conference, Google introduced their voice-controlled Google Assistant, and their “intelligent housekeeper” Google Home, based on this technology. Google Assistant is an enhanced version of Google Voice. Even though the answer tone has not changed, and the activation command remains “OK, Google.”, Assistant has a more comprehensive artificial logic. The computer not only allows the user to make commands in conversational sentences but it also automatically asks if the user requires any other related needs. For example, if the user is looking for a movie’s showtime and any recent reviews, Assistant will automatically ask if the user requires ticketing services.

Google Home is an intelligent housekeeper system used in tandem with Google Assistant. The compact design is also a Wi-Fi speaker, which can be used to play music over iCloud via voice command. It can also be used to control other connected devices, such as the television, air conditioning, audio systems, door locks, light bulbs and other intelligent appliances via voice command. It can also assist the user in replying to messages, and serves as an encyclopedia for answering questions; voice commands also send YouTube videos to the user’s television. The release date and the price of this product are still pending, but its early appearance is meant to let the market understand Google’s determination in developing intelligent home appliances. It also aims to assist developers in integrating Google Assistant into their products and applications.
