Lanzante 'LM 25 Edition' McLarens

2020 marks the 25th anniversary of the McLaren F1 GTR triumphing at Le Mans. British racing team and tuner Lanzante — one of the key partners behind the victory in 1995 — teased earlier this year that it would be creating something commemorative to celebrate the historical event. Now Lanzante has followed through on its promise, announcing the special ‘LM 25 Edition’ McLaren.

Seven existing McLaren models will be given the bespoke LM 25 Edition treatment, including a 600LT Coupe,  600LT Spider, 765LT Coupe, 765LT Spider, Senna, and Senna GTR, while the last model has yet to be announced. Each special edition will pay tribute to the F1 GTR with the race number 59 and will receive lightweight performance upgrades. Stunning Ueno Grey paintwork with light grey accents references the iconic Ueno Clinic livery and will be accompanied by carbon fibre trim. The grey five-spoke carbon fibre wheels are said to weigh 7kg less than stock, while the eye-catching gold brake callipers are adorned with red McLaren lettering – another reference to the winning race car.

Highlights of the interior include racing bucket seats with LM25 logoed headrests, black Alcantara, plus more carbon fibre and gold accents. Each engine will remain untouched, but the exhaust heat shields will be upgraded with gold ceramic-coating. Lanzante may be adding performance upgrades on some models, but these details are yet to be revealed.

Pricing will start at £144,000 for the conversion, with the owner having to provide the factory-spec McLaren in preparation for its transformation.
