Ginetta reveals all new supercar

British automaker Ginetta has unveiled an all new supercar that was developed quite secretly. There wasn’t much information along the developing process with only one teaser released last month. Now the full picture has been revealed, except its name.

The road-legal supercar was built with knowledge from the Ginetta 2019 LMP1 car. The angular and aggressive looking body is more for performance than appearance, with a rear wing having the same aerofoil shape as the latest Ginetta LMP1 racer and underbody diffuser. The front mid-engined supercar generate 376 kg of downforce at 161 km/h, which is similar to the marque’s  LMP3 racer. Both the body panels and the tub chassis are made of carbon fibre, resulting in the low dry weight at just 1150 kg.

The supercar is powered by a dry-sumped 6-litre 90-degree V8 that develops over 600hp and 700 Nm. Official top speed has not been revealed but is expected to exceed 200 mph (322 km/h). The V8 works together with a sequential six-speed gearbox and a carbon fibre propshaft. It’s also worth mentioning that the boot has a capacity of 675 litres, which isn’t common for race-inspired models.

Production will be limited to just 20 units in the first production year of 2020, and so far 14 examples have been spoken for.
