Inner Rock Star
Leica M Monochrom Jim Marshall Set

Jim Marshall has been widely acclaimed for his images of famous musicians since the 1960s. Rock stars and jazz musicians such as The Beatles, The Who, Jim Morrison, Led Zeppelin, John Coltrane and Miles Davis were often found on the other side of Marshall’s lens and while the talented photographer passed away in 2010, his legacy remains. Leica is releasing a special edition to commemorate the lifelong Leica user.

Numbered and limited to 50 examples, the Leica M Monochrom Type 246 is made of brass components in a matte finish, with Jim Marshall’s autograph engraved at the top. The camera is paired with a Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 lens in complimenting style, featuring the classic knurled focus ring and round lens hood that pays tribute to the original sixties lens. Also included in the set is a brown leather strap similar to the one used by the master himself, as well as a special print of Thelonious Monk at the Monterey Jazz Festival 1964 taken by Marshall, and a copy of Jim Marshall: Jazz Festival.
