Indoor Pollution Solution
Jacob Jensen Air Quality Monitor

To stay healthy, most of us pay attention to our diet and the amount exercise we do. Yet, measuring the quality of our air, which has the most direct impact on our health, is often neglected. This oversight is particularly the case when it comes to indoor areas, where we rarely know the actually level of purity, even when treated by air purifiers. This lack of empirical data makes it difficult to dispel our doubts.

Jacob Jensen from Denmark is very aware of the pollutants which originate indoors, such as mold in the bathroom; the cooking odors and remains of food in the kitchen; the allergens in our beds; as well as the second-hand smoke, skin, and pet hair in the living room. To help define these sources of pollution, Jensen has introduced an instant monitor that reveals indoor air quality, humidity, and temperature.

His product is the Air Quality Monitor, and it displays light signals based on the air quality index (ADI) detected. Using warning lamps of green, yellow, orange and red makes it easy for even children to understand. To enhance the Air Monitor’s diagnostic sampling, Jensen has supplied it with rechargeable batteries with a 2,600mAh capacity allowing the monitor to run up to 48 hours at normal room temperature.
