When DJI releases a new drone model it almost automatically means it is a piece of solid gadget for handy video capture. For the latest Avata, not only the FPV drone is compact, lightweight and swift to jiggle around tight spaces, when it’s paired with the new DJI goggles and and motion controller, the whole filming process is much more accessible and fun even for beginners.

The Avata is equipped with a 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor and support 4K ultra-wide-angle recording with an f/2.8 aperture. 155° field of view is pretty impressive and it’s paired with 4K/60fps. The body of Avata has a built-in propeller guard, meaning the drone can bounce back when hit an object and keep on flying without much interruption. The new battery pack offers 18 minutes of filming, and the brand’s RockSteady and HorizonSteady technologies keep the footage smooth.

The Avata Pro-View Combo includes DJI Goggles 2 and Motion Controller in addition to drone, providing an intuitive control by hand and head movements. The goggles are fitted with two 1,080p Micro-OLED screens, while the controller allows user to handle to drone with natural hand motions as if flying on the pilot’s seat, giving it an immersive flight experience.
