Imaginary SUV
Bently EXP8 concept

Bentley’s Bentayga is the very first luxury SUV from the marque. While there’s no sign of a successor arriving any time soon, this remarkable concept rendered by Istanbul-based automotive designer Emre Husmen could easily pass for an official concept.

Husmen’s ‘EXP8’ is designed to be a next-generation luxury SUV, and it shares some commonality with the limited-edition Bentley Mulliner Bacalar. For example, the sleek and modern bespoke headlights feature an LED ring paired with a narrow, horizontal high beam strip are heavily influenced by the Bacalar — the fierce front grille is also familiar, though EXP8’s version is emblazoned with the number 8.

Of course, there are plenty of new elements on the EXP8. The squarish wheel arches are nothing like those found on the Bacalar or Bentayga, and the rear tail lights are very slim in comparison. It’s a shame that Husmen didn’t develop an interior concept too — with it being a big part of what makes a Bentley, a Bentley, we would have loved to have seen his take on the famously-luxiourous interior space.
