Humorously Reimagined
Michael Lau to launch "Collect Them All" exhibition at Christie's Hong Kong

If you are a fan of vinyl figures and toys, you’ve probably already heard of Hong Kong-based artist Michael Lau, known as “the godfather of urban vinyl”. This April, the artist will hold his new and privately-purchased exhibition “Collect Them All!” at Christie’s Hong Kong.

The new exhibition consists of six major themes, including his signature The Gardener and CrazyChildren vinyl toys series. The show features more than 40 graphics works and 40 different formats, as well as pieces from his previous exhibitions such as Remember-Disc · Time-Table (2014) and What? We: want! (2016).

One of the highlights from the exhibition is the Salvator Michael, which Michael Lau humorously reimagines as Da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi painting. The portrait of Christ was sold at Christie’s New York for a record-breaking US$450m in November last year.

Be sure to check out this exhibition if you are in town.
