High Performance Duo Hit Hong Kong
Mercedes-AMG GT R and GT C Roadster

After months of anticipation, the new Mercedes-AMG GT R and the brand new model of the series, the GT C Roadster, have finally hit the Hong Kong market.

The development of the new Mercedes-AMG GT R was based on pure motorsport experience. While all models in the series feature the same twin turbo 4.0-litre V8, being the top of the range model, the GT R has an increased power output of 585 hp, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 318 km/h. The new exclusive colour “AMG Green Hell Magno” signifies the location of the majority of its development: the “Green Hell”, also known as the Nürburgring. The Panamericana Grille with 15 vertical struts on all new GT models is another feature that originated from the world of motorsport. With wider front and rear wings, a new front fascia with active elements, a large rear aerofoil and a new rear fascia with double diffuser, the aerodynamic efficiency and grip of the new GT R is undoubtedly impressive.

The latest addition to the range, the GT C Roadster, sits between GT S and GT R in terms of performance. It generates 557 hp of output and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 316 km/h. The new model borrows some of the excellent technical features of the AMG GT R, including the active rear axle steering and electronically controlled limited-slip differential.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R is currently on display at Mercedes Me in Central until June 16, while the GT C Roadster will be available for viewing at the same venue on June 17 and 18.
