Head In The Butt
'La tête dans le cul' by Soufyane Benhammouda

While front and rear designs are both essential to the overall attractiveness of a car, not many people pay specific attention to the overhangs of a vehicle. Overhangs are the parts that exceed the front and rear axles, and they are important for the general proportion of the car.

French designer Soufyane Benhammouda has come up with a creative way to show us the importance of good overhang design. He has essentially joined the front and rear overhangs together and to create a single-axle oddity. Benhammouda named the series La tête dans le cul, which is a phrase the French use to describe having a hangover, a play on the word “overhang”. Literally it means “the head in the butt” which is also exactly what these mini cars are. While many of them look nice with just a single wheel, some just look plain weird and make you reconsider whether the original car can still be regarded as an exceptional design.
