Rolls-Royce Dawn – Inspired by Fashion

It’s not the first time that Rolls-Royce has drawn inspiration from the world of fashion, but this time the Goodwood-based manufacturer is bringing it to another level.

Under the stewardship of Design Director Giles Taylor, a team of talented designers were hand-picked from the world of fashion, fine textiles and luxury accessories. These include textile specialist Cherica Haye from the Royal College of Art and leather technologist Michelle Lusby, who previously worked at Mulberry to create the new ‘Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’ couture collection. The team selected Andalusian white as the basic colour tone and match it with one of the three vibrant accent colours of Mugello Red, Cobalto Blue or Mandarin Orange, used to colour the soft-top roof, the hand-painted coachline, the bold leather lines that run the length of the cabin, and the details on the headrests, seats and steering wheel.

Bespoke interior features show a Haute Couture-level of attention to detail. Specialist methods such as the highly complex craft of seamless stitching is used in the building process ,and silk-lined door pockets are adorned with a modern interpretation of the Spirit of Ecstasy monogram, set precisely at fifty-five degrees to complement the lines of the door. A unique Inspired By Fashion clock sits like a jewelled accessory, styled exclusively to emit an iridescent pearl effect.

What do you get a fashionable Rolls Royce enthusiast that has everything? This, probably.
