Tanzanian-German branding and marketing veteran Julia Lang has launched her lifestyle label VEERT, with the first drop comprising a unisex jewellery collection and home fragrance products. The brand name is a play on “vert”, the french word for green. Lang explains that green is the colour that to her feels the strongest and the most beautiful and vibrant, which is how she’d like everyone connecting to the brand to feel.
Green is certainly at the heart of the label, from the materials chosen for the products to the eco-conscious packaging. The gold vermeil pieces are infused with green stones such as green onyx and malachite, which are said to possess positive energy and powerful healing qualities, as well as being related to love and affection. The four pieces from the first drop include a malachite and green onyx signature ring, green onyx heart pearl earrings, a green onyx pearl necklace and green onyx deer pendant. Some of these pieces are also available in solid 18k gold upon request.
As well as the curated jewellery collection, VEERT has also launched a signature scent titled “SERENGETI” which includes an organic hand wash and candle. With notes of ambre, bamboo, tuberose and pink sugar, the refreshingly scented home fragrance items were developed with sustainability in mind. The candle is made from clean-burning food-grade coconut oil, while the packaging is made from 85% post-consumer waste boxes and 100% recycled paper from FSC certified vendors. The brand has also partnered with 1% For the Planet, meaning 1% of VEERT’s yearly gross sales will go to charity.
