Famed artisanal leather label Hender Scheme is known for transforming some of the world’s most iconic sneakers into exquisite leather art forms. Having collaborated with adidas Originals for a capsule collection that reimagined three classic silhouettes from the German sportswear label, Hender Scheme recently partnered with Casio for a collaborative G-Shock watch to celebrate its 35th anniversary.

This time around, the result is a new take on the iconic DW-5600 model that brings both brand’s specialities together. Hender Scheme’s contribution is a vegetable-tanned leather strap processed using the tanning method called “pit tanning” to echo the same “toughness” as the G-Shock. Like other Hender Scheme goods, the vegetable tanned leather strap will age naturally and beautifully as time passes, giving the watch a unique personalised look.
