Let AI Handle It
Google Assistant

Google holds its I/O conference annually to share big plans and major innovations with developers from all around the world.

At this year’s conference on May 8th, the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai announced a few changes to Google Assistant, not only it will be available in 30 languages and 80 different countries by the end of the year, but also comes in six different voices, with one of those being John Legend’s, a famous singer-songwriter from the US.

The Assistant will also be able to make appointments for you; whether you need to book a haircut or make a reservation at your favourite restaurant, the AI assistant will do it for you in the background without you having to call them yourself, all you have to do is to get things done in the real world. And judging from the demos shown at the conference, this new feature sounds very human-like as if you were talking to a real person, which is both exciting and troubling.
