Good Enough For Pikes Peak
Fanatec Bentley GT3 Steering Wheel

Sim racing hardware manufacturer Fanatec has teamed up with Bentley to release the Bentley GT3 Steering Wheel. While partnering with an automaker to create a sim wheel is nothing new, this fresh collaboration isn’t just a fascimile of a race wheel — it can actually be used with the real Continental GT3 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race car as it makes its way up the most notorious mountain course in the world.

With a round 3.4-inch display, magnesium core, Alcantara grips, and a 5 mm-thick carbon fibre front plate with custom green weave, the Bentley GT3 Steering Wheel uses advanced technology and luxurious materials that make it more than worthy of real-world mtorosport use. The unique configurations of the integrated Podium Advanced Paddle Module offers four magnetic paddles; two are used for gearshifts while the remaining pair can be programmed for any other custom function. The eight primary buttons are backlit and are programmable to display various colours.

The steering wheel measures 310 mm in diameter and features the signature Bentley knurling. When the steering wheel is used for gaming, the large display in the middle can show game telemetry and other special features thanks to the bespoke interface. A specially designed mount allows the user to attach the steering wheel on any of the Fanatec’s wheel bases, a wall or a desk, and the wheel can be used as a clock too when idle.
