LEGO Art World Map

With travelling for leisure still not an option right now, the latest set from LEGO could certainly help calm those with itchy feet, and perhaps even assist with planning future trips abroad, whenever that might happen. The LEGO Art World Map set contains a whopping 11,695 pieces – the most in LEGO’s history.

The landmass sections of the LEGO World Map are built on 40 interconnecting base plates. These plates can be arranged in three different ways, so builder can put their favourite part of the world in the centre. As for the ocean, the builder can follow the instructions and arrange the tiles as per the bathymetric mapping of the ocean floor, or use it to express one’s creativity and design their own patterns.

The World Map measures 65cm high and 104 cm wide when completed, and can be mounted on the wall easily with the white brick-built frame and unique hanging elements included in the box. Customisable LEGO ‘push pins’ can be placed on the map for marking out destinations already visited or for future trips. There’s even a soundtrack featuring stories from travel experts to accompany the building process and perhaps offer some inspiration for future adventures.

The LEGO Art World Map is priced as US$ 249 and is now available through LEGO Stores globally.
