Future mobile clinic
Aim by Artefact

Autonomous driving is becoming more and more a part of our modern life. Not only does it serve to carry passengers from A to B, but soon it could possibly replace the public services that operate in fixed locations and become a stable part of future urban life.

Developed by technology design agency Artefact, the project “Aim” plays with the concept of creating mobile clinics. Aim is a medical system that combines artificial intelligence and data. An array of home passive monitoring devices monitor user’s health by collecting ambient data. If there’s any abnormalities in the data, Aim will arrange a self-driving clinic to reach the user. When on board, data on respiration and cardiac rhythm and blood pressure etc. can be diagnosed via thermography and acoustic and breath analysis, while real time instructions from a doctor or an AI caretaker can be displayed to the user. If the diagnosis is critical, Aim can serve as an ambulance for taking the patient to the nearest hospital.

Artefact explained that Aim is purely a concept and there is no plan to launch it in the near future. However, Aim does highlight the inadequacy in today’s health care systems and the potential for future mobile clinics.
