IKEA recently debuted its first Bluetooth speaker, dubbed ‘Eneby’. It comes in two sizes – 8-inch and 12-inch, and two colours – black or white with Scandinavian design cues in mind. If you prefer a clean, minimalist look, you can remove the mesh fabric front to expose parts of the speaker.

The smaller sizes come with a handle, turning the device into a portable Bluetooth speaker once external batteries are attached (sold separately). If you want to connect the speaker to devices not supporting Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm AUX cable included in the package solves the problem.

Last December, the Swedish furniture giant announced its partnership with wireless speaker brand Sonos to create what they called “future home sound experiences” for 2019. Although few details about the collaboration have surfaced, the Eneby speaker could serve to preview what’s coming next year.

The 8-inch and 12-inch Bluetooth speakers are available at IKEA stores in UK and USA now, priced at £45 and £80 respectively.
