Founded in 2013, streetwear label Guerrilla Group is famous for its unique use of military and technically advanced garments that blend into utilitarian workwear style, making it one of the globally most well-known streetwear brands hailed from Taiwan. For it’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection titled “Road Fighter”,  Guerrilla Group has referenced the style of Japanese custom car culture, and turned the edgy look into something highly wearable and functional.

Take the noragi jacket as an example. Originally a traditional workwear for men in Japan, Guerrilla Group has transformed it with the CORDURA denim fabric, making it more durable than the usual denim. There are multiple hidden pockets on the jacket and its made of high tear strength and waterproof Dyneema composite fabric for keeping the jacket lightweight. The reshaped balaclava mask has taken the form of an ultra short hoodie vest, while the cargo shorts with eight pockets are simply practical, both made of breathable and waterproof fabric. It’s difficult not to mention the Silent Whisper permanent accessory line when talking about Guerrilla Group, especially its bags and pouches made with transparent leather of various shades. The innovative APPARTION material was developed by Ecco leather using full grain bovine material and is only seen on designs from selected brands.
