For The Holiday Season
Playstation 5 price and launch date announced

Sony has just revealed both the pricing and launch date of the much anticipated Playstation 5 at its PS5 showcase event. The next generation console will come in two different formats, with a disc-less PS5 Digital Edition priced at US$399.99 and a console featuring an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive available for US$499.99. Those lucky enough to live in the seven major Playstation markets including the U.S., Japan, and Australia will be able to get their hands on the new console earlier than others, from 12 November onwards, while the rest of the world — including Hong Kong — will have to wait an extra week, with a release date of 19 November.

Both PS5 models use the same custom processor with an integrated CPU and GPU. The ultra-high-speed SSD with 825GB storage reads data quicker and more efficiently, while the visuals with 4K graphics and ray-tracing support, 3D audio, and the DualSense Wireless Controller with haptic feedback all offer a more immersive gaming experience.

An extensive list of upcoming games has been revealed, including Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, Final Fantasy XVI,  Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the Harry Potter spin-off Hogwarts Legacy, and the New God of War title Ragnarok.

Pricing for accessories has also been announced, with the DualSense Wireless Controller costing US$69.99 each, the PULSE 3D wireless headset priced at US$99.99, and the HD Camera with dual 1080p lenses at US$59.99, while both the Media Remote and the handy DualSense Charging Station for the two controllers are priced at US$29.99.
