For the Even Better
Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro

The track-only Aston Martin Vulcan is one of the widest supercars available with its 7.0-litre naturally-aspirated V12 outputting 820 hp. This hasn’t stopped Aston Martin pursuing its quest for performance though, as their Vice President and Chief Special Operations Officer, David King explained, “Once we’d built and delivered all 24 Vulcans we started thinking about how to make it quicker. And so the Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro was born.”

Debuting at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the AMR Pro upgrade focuses on aerodynamic and gearbox improvements without changing the engine. The updated aerodynamic components include louvred panels above the front wheel arches, new dive planes, a huge front splitter and a new rear wing with dual plane design. With all these changes, the downforce has been increased from 3150 Nm to 4000 Nm. For reference, the 2017 Le Mans winning Aston Martin Racing Vantage GTE generates 3104 Nm.

Compared to the original Vulcan, the AMR Pro’s centre of pressure has shifted more towards the middle of the car, from 41.5% in the standard version to 47.5% for improved traction, steering response and front-end grip. With the shortened gearing making it even more punchy when accelerating through the gears, the drive is more agile and responsive to steering inputs.
