First Soundbar
Bang & Olufsen Beosound Stage

Premium audio-video brand Bang & Olufsen is launching its first soundbar Beosound Stage. It’s odd that the leading company is a bit late on joining the soundbar trend, but the result is more than expected.

Designed in collaboration with Danish studio NORM Architects, Beosound Stage is crafted in simple yet beautiful geometric shapes using natural materials that can easily integrate into any modern home. The slim rectangular soundbar looks sleek either mounted under the TV or lays flat on the shelf, and the frame is available in smoked oak, natural aluminium or bronze tone aluminium with engraved sensory control panel at the top.

Inside the appealing frame are 11 custom-designed speaker drivers each driven by its own 50-watt amplifier. With four 4-inch woofers, two 1 ½-inch midrange drivers and a 3/4-inch dome tweeter taking care of the centre channel of the soundbar, plus a 1½-inch and midrange and a ¾ inch tweeters at each side, the placement of the drivers is designed to create deep, rich tones and a 3D sound effect. Beosound Stage features Dolby Atmos, and is compatible with Chromecast built-in, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth so it can support streaming from devices in other rooms. The soundbar will be available in late Autumn this year.
