First Attempt At The Road
Dallara Stradale

Dallara is a famous Italian chassis manufacturer that has produced machines for many racing series including Formula 1, Formula E and IndyCar. The company also provides engineering services for various automakers for high performance cars. On founder Giampaolo Dallara’s 81st birthday, he gave the world a beautiful present instead, the Stradale; Dallara’s first road car.

The base setup for the Stradale is a 2-seater without doors. It can be customised by adding a windshield, T-Frame or even gullwing doors to turn it into a coupe. A rear wing can also be installed to create a track-focused car with a better level of downforce.

The car is super lightweight at 855 kg thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre composites in both the monocoque and the body. The powertrain is a supercharged 2.3-litre, 4-cylinder that delivers 400 hp and 500 Nm. 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes 3.25 seconds before reaching a top speed of 280 km/h.

“This project sums up everything we learned from racing and from collaborations with our clients, and I am convinced that those who will use this car will be able to try the pleasure of driving for the sake of driving,” said Giampaolo Dallara himself. It is not difficult to understand his confidence – Dallara plans to build 100 Stradales per year for a total of 600 examples. Price will start from 155,000 euros.
