The new Lotus 3-Eleven 430 is officially the fastest and most extreme model from the British manufacturer. Limited to 20 examples, the street legal sports car is the final evolution of the 3-Eleven, before production ceases.
As the name suggested, the supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine is now ungraded to produce 430 hp, and 440 Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h is now completed in 3.2 seconds before reaching to a top speed of 286 km/h, up from 3.4 seconds and 280 km/h from the previous version of Lotus 3-Eleven.
The door and window-less lightweight carbon-composite body sits on the aluminium chassis, with part-exposed carbon side panels. Part of the interior is also made of carbon, contributing to a dry weight of just 920 kg. The aero of the car is also enhanced; the 3-Eleven 430 features a higher mounted straight-cut rear-wing, reworked end plates, long front splitter, lip spoiler and a flat floor all contribute to a 44kg increase in downforce to 265 kg.
