Go Karts @Netflix

Formula 1 has been the world-class racing event since 1950.  People from around the globe witness every race via some live broadcasts on TV or online; but just a few of us can get the whole picture of this motorsport.  The collaboration between Netflix and Formula One is made for putting the behind-the-scenes look at the drivers and races to the documentary series “Formula 1: Drive to Survive”.  Season one was released in March last year covering the 2018 World Championship, and the second season for 2019 World Championship has just been launched on 28th February too.

If you are keen on knowing more about Formula 1, you may also have a look at the recent Australian movie, “Go Karts” too.  Though kart racing came later than Formula 1, some said karting is like a stepping stone to the higher ranks of motorsports.  Some of the famous former Formula One champions like Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamilton have also started their careers in karting.

“Go Karting” is about a gutsy teen dedicated to high-speed go-kart racing starring William Lodder and Darius Amarfio-Jefferson.  Guided by a testy coach who was an ex-driver, and supported by good friends, the boy overcame dreadful odds and his own recklessness and eventually achieve his dream of winning the National Go-Kart Championship.  This family will be on screen in March this year. available on Netflix too.
