Hermès Skateboards

The definition of fashion accessories is wider than you might think, and they can be really pricey as well. Recently we have seen Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons selling duct tape for $200. Now French fashion house Hermès is rolling out a set of three skateboards this coming September that cost USD$2,900.

What makes these skateboards so unique? They feature surfaces adorned with three classic signature Hermès prints created by Françoise de La Perrière and Henri d’Origny, including the “Bouclerie Modern,” “Cavalcadour” and “Sangles en Zigzag.” Each skateboard has a light beech wood construction sealed with noble maple veneer, making it look and feel luxurious like something never before. Priced at nearly USD$3,000 they might be better displayed as art objects at home as opposed to grinding the local rails.
