BMW M2 CS Racing

Race cars are always seen as something requiring a deep pocket. BMW teased around a competition version of the current M2 a few months ago, claiming it would be a popular and affordable customer racing model handed by BMW Motorsport. With the launch of the BMW M2 CS road car, here comes the BMW M2 CS Racing.

With motorsport front splitter and adjustable rear wing plus safety roll cage manufactured by BMW M Motorsport, the BMW M2 CS Racing is ready to hit the track. The race car is fitted with a S55 2.9-litre six-cylinder inline turbocharged engine. The machine can produce between 280 and 365 hp depending on the Balance of Performance or Permit B classification for racing. Maximum torque 550 Nm is sent through the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. An upgrade package is already in the plan to increase performance to 450 hp.

The BMW M2 CS Racing has already been tested at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife and is eligible for entering the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring and the TC America. With a starting price of 95,000 euros, delivery of the race car is expected in mid-2020.
