Endurance Return
Cadillac DPi-V.R

After a 14-year absence, Cadillac will return to endurance racing with its newly-designed Cadillac DPi-V.R. Entered in the Prototype class of the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the American automaker will make its debut in the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 28-29.

Based on a Dallara LMP2 chassis, the lightweight Cadillac DPi-V.R boasts a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine that should produce around 600hp and 2,050lb-ft of torque and Brembo brakes. IMSA’s DPi category now allows manufacturers to modify their car’s nose, side pods, rear wheel arches and rear valance to identify with the style of their brand. Seen here testing at Watkins Glen, the Cadillac DPi-V.R features similar iconic vertical front lamps, signature bodywork styling and wheel details as Cadillac’s road car range.
