Electrified Performance
Infiniti to reveal electrified performance concept

Infiniti aims to offer electrified powertrain option for all of their new models starting from 2021, and in the same year their first fully electric production model should see the light too. It is no surprise that the brand will introduce an electric concept for a second year at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Unlike last year’s retro looking electric race concept Prototype 9, the upcoming concept has a futuristic appearance as shown in the teaser images, and it will showcase the brand’s vision of blending performance and electrification. Infiniti teams in Japan, Britain and the United States all contributed in the design of the new car, lead by executive design director Karim Habib who previously worked at BMW. While not much of the car can be seen in these images, it seems the new concept is once again a single-seater, with race harness instead of standard seat belt. All of these suggest the concept is designed to sprint.
