Edginess by the Side
Deus Ex Machina D-Side

First invented by a French Army officer at the end of the 19th Century, sidecars were frequently used by army forces during the first and second world wars, and nowadays they are generally used for carrying extra passengers, usually kids – and suitably-dressed ladies! They do seem like a practical addition, but the issue is finding one that can fit with the design of your original motorbike.

This is why the Deus Ex Machina D-Side is such an appealing option as a motorcycle and sidecar set. Developed by their Milan branch, the D-Side was a collaboration with Yamaha. It began with the powerful and classic XV960; the Deus team started by shaving some weight off, then added a brand new sidecar system including 19-inch wheels and a surf rack. Other customisations include an aluminium tank and a hand-made rear frame, an Alcantara seat and air cone filter, plus a vintage racing seat in the sidecar. The 3-wheeled Dues is best-suited for coastal road trips and festivals such as Wheels and Waves.
