Patagonia Recycled Better Sweater Collection

Patagonia has been a pioneer in terms of its take on sustainability. The outdoor brand started using recycled plastic in its apparel production in 1993 and never looked back, being the very first among its peers to invest in such a meaning issue. The latest Better Sweater collection doesn’t just promise to keep you warm, it also stays true to the company’s mission as the fleece fabric is made of 100% recycled polyester.

The items from the Better Sweater collection are made from all-recycled materials except for the zipper teeth, which is a truly admirable achievement. The 100% recycled polyester sweater-knit fleece is dyed with a low-impact process, meaning the amount of dyestuffs, energy and water used is significantly reduced comparing to conventional dyeing methods. The collection is also Fair Trade Certified sewn, another issue that is high on Patagonia’s agenda.

Other than the standard fleece jacket, the collection also includes a lightweight vest for easy layering, as well as stylish shirt jacket and Henley pullover. The Performance Better Sweater Hoody features side panels made of Polartec Power Stretch polyester/spandex jersey, offering extra motion-friendly stretch for all kinds of outdoor activities. In addition to the handwarmer pockets, the left-chest zippered security pocket is headphone-compatible for the music-filled running journey.
