E-Type Reinvented
Callum E-Type restomod concept

The beauty of the original Jaguar E-Type is well known in the automotive world, so when it comes to reimagining such an important icon, opinions are often sharply divided. But when the project is led by former Jaguar design boss Ian Callum and his team, few are more qualified to take it on.

This restomod concept is both lowered and widened compared to the original E-Type. Chrome trims have been replaced by a frosted silver finish, giving the car a sleek, futuristic presence. The wheel arches are more pronounced, housing striking three-spoke alloy disc wheels. At the front, LED headlights bring a modern touch, while at the rear, subtly updated taillights are paired with large exhaust pipes — suggesting the concept remains petrol-powered like the original.

The interior remains true to the classic design, with small display screens discreetly integrated to support modern features such as navigation and connectivity. Wooden trim, a traditional steering wheel, and rich burgundy leather maintain the retro vibe, all of which can be customised. A five-speed manual shifter further confirms its petrol-powered nature.

The Callum E-Type is currently a digital concept developed as part of the studio’s portfolio work. However, the company has hinted on social media that it could become available as a bespoke commission in extremely limited numbers.
