Shinsuke Takizawa of Japanese streetwear heavyweight Neighborhood has teamed up with Team Ikuzawa for a new collaborative capsule titled Dirt Track Storm. The partnership taps into a shared love of motorsport heritage and design culture, resulting in a collection that feels both nostalgic and sharply contemporary.
Team Ikuzawa carries a storied legacy. Founded by Tetsu Ikuzawa – one of Japan’s most influential racing drivers – the team’s history spans landmark victories in Japan, Europe and Le Mans, as well as later ventures into team ownership across two- and four-wheel racing. Today the brand has evolved under the creative direction of his daughter, Mai Ikuzawa, who has reimagined Team Ikuzawa as a modern cultural label bridging motorsport, fashion and design.
The star of the collection is the racing jacket, offered in either a distinctive checker pattern or a stealthy black finish. Cut from hard-wearing Oxford fabric and quilted for warmth, it features embroidered logos, original hardware and a woven side label.
The trunk bag, built from rugged cotton canvas, is adapted from a Team Ikuzawa design by Ramdane Touhami and comes with matte-black rivets, snap buttons, an interior pocket and a latch belt, plus bold high-density graphics on both sides. Supporting pieces include long-sleeve and short-sleeve cotton jersey tees and a bandana, all carrying the capsule’s motorsport-inspired visual language.
The campaign stars racer-photographer Dimitri Coste, who also shot the imagery at the iconic El Mirage Dry Lake, lending the project a fitting blend of speed, dust and analogue charm.
The Neighborhood x Team Ikuzawa Dirt Track Storm collection will launch globally on 21 February via Neighborhood and Team Ikuzawa online shops, as well as Neighborhood stores across Japan.
