DBS Returns
Aston Martin relaunching the iconic name

The DBS nameplate is finally returning to the Aston Martin family. The British automaker has just announced that the upcoming flagship Super GT, which will be unveiled in second quarter of 2018, will bear this iconic name.

The DBS nameplate was first launched in 1967 on the William Towns-designed model, and was brought back for once in 2007 for the then top-model. Now after half a century, Aston Martin is not just relaunching the name, but also pairing it with another splendid badge, Superleggera. This well known super lightweight construction technology of Touring is no stranger on Aston Martins and can be found on the DB4, DB5 and DB6 Mark 1.

The DBS Superleggera will feature the highest levels of performance, craftsmanship and design, positioning it as the leading model of the sportscar line-up. So far only a couple of teaser images are available, but as Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman put it, “When you hear the name DBS Superleggera, you know what it is. It’s the definitive Aston Martin Super GT. It’s an icon, a statement and this one will be no different.”
