2005 Ford GT Camilo Custom Build

The Ford GT launch in the noughties was one the of highlights back in the days. The classic GT40 was designed by Camilo Pardo with just over 4000 examples made. And even more so to it’s exclusivity, Pardo also oversaw the Camilo Signature Series outside his role at Ford, turning eight Ford GTs into one-of-a-kind custom built with unique modifications. The Merkury 4 was the third in the Camilo Signature Series and is now up for sale on Hemmings.

The Merkury 4 was a joint effort between Camilo Pardo and the GT Guy, a tuner specialised in Ford GT models. The original solid red paint was replaced by Mirrachrome paint job with signature fluorescent orange Gulf livery and satin black rondels. Second generation Whipple Supercharger and GTG cold air intake kit were added to the engine, boosting the output to 725 hp. Other changes include relocation of the exhaust, HRE centre lock rims, twin sill badges commemorating the build and more. Pardo himself once said this is his favourite signature GT, and the car won the 2015 “Best in Show” award at the 10th Annual Ford GT National Rally in Detroit. With only 4,000 miles on the odometer, this is a rare chance to get hold of the modern classic in good condition.
