Hyundai Kite Concept by IED students

Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Turin, Italy has collaborated with Hyundai to create a two-seat electric buggy concept. Students from the Master of Transportation Design course teamed up with the Hyundai European Design Centre in Rüsselsheim am Main, Germany, and built a 1:1 model, which will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show. The concept is partof the thesis project of 15 students coming from different parts of the world.

The Hyundai Kite Concept is 3745 mm long and 2235 mm wide, has no roof, windscreen or doors and is designed to be propelled by an electric motor. The buggy is the most comprehensive concept developed by students of this programme, as this is the first featuring interior design. It runs a gearbox co-developed by Sila Group and Sabelt seats. A virtual reality experience, designed in collaboration with Protocube Reply will also be offered at the Geneva Motor Show in order to bring the concept to life.
