New UHD home theater projectors from Sony.

UHD (4K) televisions have been out there for sometime, but while there are plenty of movies and clips produced in 4K, we are still lacking of relevant storage media capable of effectively distributing the UHD format, so there would still be some way to go for the UHD standard to gain mass acceptance.

However, Sony has decided to take the very first step to bring UHD to the casual home theater experience, launching the VPL-VW520ES, the first home theater projector with HDMI input supporting the new HDR format, and its younger brother VPL-VW320ES, both models capable of outputting real 4K resolution and 3D in Full HD 1080p, getting you fully prepared for the future formats. Star product VPL-VW520ES comes with 300,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, bringing bright and vivid colors in great depth which are just life-like.

The two models are both equipped with the latest generation of 4K SXRD panel, embedded with Sony’s exclusive Triluminos engine to ensure amazing color vibrancy and precision. Its Motionflow technology eliminates motion blur of fast moving images, resulting in silky smooth video playback. Users may enjoy 4K video contents through the new HDMI input (Standard 2.0) with HDCP 2.2 support, and its 3D wireless transmission could cover a much wider area than previous models, with the addition of 3D sync function too. Its operating system provides full controls for professional calibrations which should satisfy the needs of different personal tastes and preferences. Available for order now in black and white colorways.
