Control At The Fingertips
B&O PLAY Beoplay E8

Since the 3.5 mm headphone jack was cancelled on the iPhone, listening to music on a Bluetooth headset has become the norm. B&O PLAY, a diffusion line of famous Danish audio-visual brand Bang & Olufsen, has long been developing its wireless products, long before the iPhone forced the rest of the industry’s hand. The latest addition is the Beoplay E8 wireless Bluetooth earbuds, which is truly wireless and offers more features than Apple’s AirPods.

Designed by Scandinavian Jakob Wagner, a long term collaborator of B&O’s, the design brief started with a focus on sound quality and compact design, trying to strike a perfect balance between different aspects such as size, ergonomics and audio quality. Beoplay E8 features a touch-controlled aluminium interface that offers a nice texture and impressive durability. Users can also switch between songs, answer calls, utilise voice commands and activate the Transparent Mode with just one finger. The Transparent Mode allows users to decide on the volume of the surrounding background. Four levels of volume are given through the exclusive Beoplay App and adjustments can be made by touching the left earbud lightly. This feature enables users to enjoy music without neglecting the happenings around them.

Beoplay E8 is available in two colour options: black and charcoal sand. The left and right earbuds weigh just 7 g and 6 g respectively and are ergonomically designed, making sure they fit well and won’t fall off easily. They are also splash and dust proof for outdoor use. Technically the earphones have a 5.7 mm Electro-dynamic driver with a 20 – 20,000 Hz frequency range and are well connected with NFMI technology and Bluetooth 4.2. Each full charge offers up to four hours of music playing. The genuine leather charging case holds the earphones tightly and provides two additional charges.
