Samsung ArtPC PULSE

Samsung has a solid track record when it comes to smartphones and HDTVs, but the Korean giant is clearly more ambitious than just focusing on these products. Samsung has just announced the ArtPC Pulse, a desktop computer with a built-in 360 degree omni-directional speaker, produced in collaboration with American audio maker Harman Kardon. The cylindrical body is about 10.7-inches tall and made entirely of metal. There is a lighting band between the speaker and the main body that gives the computer a futuristic, space-like feel.

The audio system is Bluetooth-enabled and can also be used with compatible mobile devices for streaming music. The PC is equipped with either an Intel Core i7 or i5 processor, and a AMD RX 460 graphics card, allowing it to support dual 4K displays and high-end 3D games via HDMI and USB Type-C. With 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD drive, the ArtPC Pulse is fast and smooth. If this is still not good enough for you, the ArtPC Pulse can also be customised for expanded storage with an easy-to-add module, and so far a 1 TB HDD storage module has been developed. An extra touch on the lighting band: it can be displayed in 15 colours and with five different lighting effects, turning the desktop PC into a stylish home accessory.
