Co-Op Prison Break
'A Way Out'

Gaming, for the majority, is something that is usually enjoyed alone, but this is not the case of A Way Out, an action-adventure game developed by Hazelight Studios and published by EA. The game does not offer a single player at all, and must be play as a split screen co-op between two players, either sitting side by side or connected online.

Gamers take up the roles of Leo and Vincent, two prisoners who are planning a break out. The two players have to communicate outside of the game to agree on a strategy at certain points before each character can perform different tasks simultaneously. For example, Vincent goes to talk to the guard and distract him so that Leo can sneak into a room and acquire supplies. Some scenes that require the two players handling the same task like back to back jumping and climbing up, meaning off-the-game communication is a-must. A Way Out is also supported by a very a detailed script. As the gamers play along, the background of the two protagonists such as why they ended up in jail, their personal stories and families, unfold.

To ensure the player can find someone to play with, he or she can send out a Friend Pass to invite a friend to play with him online as a free full trial, as long as the friend is on the same platform as the owner. A Way Out is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
