RM Sotheby’s is going to host “The Dingman Collection” auction in Hampton, New Hampshire next month. The event will offer over 700 remarkable cars and collectibles from the collection of the esteemed Mr. Michael Dingman, the former longtime Ford Motor Company director who spent 21 years in the company.

Besides vintage automobiles, the late Mr. Dingman was also a collector of neon signs. In fact, he had collected some of the most exquisite original neon signs and other nostalgia representing the great American Century over the past few years. More than a hundred neon signs will be available for auction during the event, highlighting not only Ford Motor Company’s memorable history, but all manner of early Americana, from diner ephemera to petroliana, hospitality and retail.
